Working together with Expert Travel Services, Gavant Software brought ExpertFlyer.com from concept to reality. We assisted them in fleshing out the functional requirements of the site, helped design the presentation of the content, and developed a multi-tier web application that leverages web and Internet technologies to provide customers with unique access to travel information.

ExpertFlyer.com employs a variety of frameworks and techniques in terms of architecture. For instance, the Struts framework provide an MVC-style approach to the code's design, keeping logical components of the site modular and separated. SOAP is used for communication between external systems and extensive use of multithreading enables the site to do some "heavy-lifting" while providing the user with a responsive experience. Finally, technologies like AJAX provide the "Web 2.0" flavor that is consistent with other web applications.
