Michael Holtzman selected as 40 Under Forty

May 13, 2009 —

Michael Holtzman, President and Co-Founder of Gavant Software, had the distinct honor of being selected as a '40 Under Forty' award recipient this year.

Holtzman stayed in the Capital Region after graduating from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. Six years ago he started Gavant Software located in downtown Troy.  The company has grown exponentially during this time with the addition of several employees, growth in their customer list and substaintial revenue gains year after year.  The company also recently built-out a new office in Troy to house their growing software team.

The Business Review has been celebrating the region’s up-and-coming business leaders for 10 years through the ‘40 Under Forty’ award program. It recognizes the business accomplishments and community involvement of 40 businesspeople under the age of 40. The 40 individuals are selected out of hundreds of nominations and applications.  These 40 people are the sort of people the region is working hard to attract—young, intelligent, high-achieving, involved professionals.

The group was celebrated at the annual 40 Under Forty luncheon on May 7 at the Crowne Plaza in downtown Albany. The event drew some 800 people.
