Gavant builds data management tool for Lighting Research Center at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute
Gavant recently completed a desktop application to the Lighting Research Center at RPI, enabling them to catalog vast amounts of experimental research data. The application allows researchers to manage complex experiment data from numerous types of data collection and measurement devices. LRC researchers will begin uploading their research data into the application where it can be organized by experiment, subject test groups, and device utilization. From this central repository, experiment data can be easily labeled, sorted, filtered, and exported in multiple formats for further analysis, comparison, scientific study, and peer review.
Future development of this tool may include network support and sharing capabilities, embedded data analysis capabilities, as well as research and device inventory management.
