Gavant Software is currently seeking a highly motivated Microsoft .Net web developer who will design and develop custom web applications both in a team environment and in an individual capacity. The position will also provide general support for software systems currently in production as directed.

Applicant must be a US citizen who is able to work during business hours.

• Design and develop web components and applications.
• Identify functional requirements for software systems.
• Build web applications from start to finish.
• Test and maintain systems in production.
• Troubleshoot and resolve general software defects.
• Communicate development techniques effectively.

required qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science (or related field).
• 3+ years experience with Microsoft .Net framework.
• 2+ years experience with ASP.net
• 2+ years working with an object-oriented language (C++, C#, Java)
• Proficiency in relational databases and query writing.
• Basic knowledge of HTML, XHTML and JavaScript.
• Strong communication skills.

preferred qualifications

• Experience with Microsoft SQL Server Database 2000/2005.
• Experience writing Web Services.
• Experience with .Net Framework 2.0, 3.0, Unified Membership Model.
• Comfort in learning new technologies.
